SPRING FLY-IN & AGM

WENTWORTH, NSW 9-11 OCTOBER 2026

This year our Spring Fly-in and AGM heads to Wentworth, NSW. Historic Wentworth, where the Darling and Murray Rivers meet, offers a good mix of river scenery, colonial history and striking outback landscapes.

Attractions include the River Junction and Viewing Tower, Perry Sandhills, old Wentworth Gaol, Wentworth Pioneer Museum, and Wentworth Wharf and historic riverfront.

Wentworth Aerodrome (YWTO) has recently undergone a $9m upgrade with new runways, aprons, plentiful parking, and the ever welcoming Sunraysia Sport Aircraft Club, who will host us over the weekend.

Camping is permitted at the airfield, and landing and parking fees have been waived.

Friday 9th October

Arrivals are encouraged on Friday to make the most of the weekend. Our hosts, the Sunraysia Sport Aircraft Club (SSAC) will look after us in their modern and spacious club house. Lunch will be available on Friday afternoon, with a gourmet BBQ on Friday evening, all on a pay as you go basis. The SSAC bar will be open from 3pm.

Saturday 10th October

Bacon and egg sandwiches, ham and cheese croissants and granola cups will be available for breakfast at SSAC to start a day of watching arrivals, catching up with friends, checking out the latest antique aeroplanes, and some local flying along the Murray.

Where's Ya Coffee Bean, coffee van will be onsite from breakfast.

A BBQ lunch will again be available from SSAC with a range of soft drinks, water, tea and coffee and the bar opening from mid-afternoon.

Saturday 10th October - Dinner and AGM

Our dinner and Annual General Meeting will be held from 6:30pm at the Coomealla Club. Tickets for dinner are $60 each and must be purchased online. Dinner details below.

Sunday 11th October

Breakfast on the airfield at SSAC, followed by some local flying, depart for home. The coffee van will be onsite from breakfast.

ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING

The Annual General Meeting of the Association will take place at 7:45pm on Saturday 10th October at the Coomealla Club, 1150 Silver City Hwy, Dareton, NSW in conjunction with our fly-in dinner. (Details below).

EVENT REGISTRATION

An Event Registration Fee of $25 per adult contributes to the cost of bus hire and other outgoings required to run the event. Please register your attendance via the REGISTER button above so that we know who is attending and can cater accordingly. Registration will also allow you to book your AGM Dinner tickets.

EXTRA FUEL DISCOUNT

Association sponsor IOR Aviation has increased the Antiquer member fuel discount to a total of 15 cents per litre for the fly-in weekend from Thursday 8th - to Monday 12th October. This is available on AVGAS and JET A1 across the full IOR network, including the IOR bowser at Wentworth.

EVENT LOCATION: WENTWORTH AERODROME

Located 1.7nm north west of Wentworth township, Wentworth Aerodrome (YWOT) has a 936m N/S bitumen strip and a 1400m E/W bitumen strip.

There are no grass landing areas available at Wentworth.

AVGAS and JET A1 will be available from the IOR bowser on the main apron, using the Fuelcharge APP. A 15 cents per litre discount is available to AAAA members using the APP.

Landing and parking fees have been waived by Wentworth Shire Council for the duration of the fly-in.

All parked aircraft must be tied down, please remember to bring your tiedowns.

MEALS

FLY-IN DINNER (& ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING)

The fly-in dinner and Annual General Meeting will be held at The Coomealla Club, 1150 Silver City Highway, Dareton, NSW from 6:30pm.

Adult tickets are $60 each for two courses, and children's tickets are $20 each (12 years and under).

Tickets must be purchased online, and will be on sale until midnight on Sunday 4th October. No cancellations or new sales can be accepted after this time as we are required to confirm a final number with the venue.

Seating will be on a first come first served basis.

Remember to bring your payment receipt with you to the dinner on Saturday night as this will serve as your entry ticket at the dinner venue.

Buses will be available after dinner to get you back to your accommodation.

THE PEOPLES' CHOICE AWARD

On arrival members will receive a voting slip to vote for the Peoples' Choice Award to be announced at the Saturday night dinner.

GROUND TRANSPORT

A bus service will operate between the aerodrome and main Wentworth accommodation over the weekend. On Saturday night the bus service will also run to and from The Coomealla Club.

The bus timetable will be provided on arrival.

ANTIQUERS @ AVALON 2027

AVALON AIRPORT 25-28 FEBRUARY 2027

The Avalon Australian International Airshow returns in February with the opportunity for Antiquers' members to again participate!

Next year the Antiquer presence will be relocated back to the northern grass near the Rwy 18 threshold as was traditionally the case prior to the 2023 airshow.

To participate, you will need to arrive at Avalon by the end of Thursday 25th February, and will not be able to depart before the afternoon of Sunday 28th February.

AMDA Foundation which runs the event is a big supporter of the Antiquers, and it would be great to have your help in supporting the Avalon Airshow.

We are seeking early expressions of interest to understand who maybe willing to display their aircraft to Avalon next February.
